NGL till now I hated Ancient but the G2 vs M80 match opened my eyes to the error in my ways. There's a good amount of depth to this map that I previously did not anticipate.

2nd week of EPL is just a bunch of boring literally whos. Who do I even watch? None of the teams look even remotely interesting other than Liquid, and I'm not watching them because I want them to win.

Soil depletion doesn't matter because its super easy to stockpile food. Honestly Minecraft is more challenging in how much food you need to sustain yourself. In this game you plant a little plot of rye grain and all of sudden you have bread for a year.
Also you can always plow another field and put some dirt-cheap fencing around it.
I need a much stronger incentive to carefully manage a large food variety.

the snub on the other constellations is next to useless. besides if you want a good snub, the taurus' expansive hold can take a couple furies without sacrificing too much in the way of cargo area

Where do you have to shoot with autocannon on biles/chargers to take them down? Don't autocannon rounds glance off their heads?

EAT's not perfect but imo to me feels like one of the most consistent stratagems and the fact that you can call more of them than needed constantly and have teammates pick them up too is a huge boon. Using the EAT droppod to knock out chargers is pretty easy once you get the hang of it and then you can knock another 2 out with a 1 shot headshot. Bile titans 2 shot to the head if you aim for the forehead.

Honestly, I think people would be upset about it, but I wish all stratagems weren't consistently available at higher difficulties. I would love to see a modifier (logistics difficulties?) where a random amount of stratagems were greyed out on the selection screen, but in a way where it always guaranteed at least one or two anti-tank, backpack, and heavy strike picks. Like for example, the AC/quasar are greyed out, but the RR and AMR aren't. Orbital railcannon is greyed out, but 500kg isn't. Or vice versa. No shield backpacks but you can take jump packs. Randomize it mission to mission when that modifier is present. Make it only appear on 7+ where everyone should have everything unlocked anyways so it doesn't penalize new players who'd be unable to take anything if their only unlocked stratagems are greyed.

I think it'd a lot more variety to the game. Right now most people seem to be stuck in onto the same handful of weapons and stratagems and there's shit you rarely see anyone use. Maybe if you had missions where you HAD to take crew serve weapons you'd see more randoms actually pairing up to use the RR reload or the like. Or not seeing people's gameplay completely fall to shit when they die and respawn without the stratagem weapons they crutch with.

I meant the autocannon turret I should have specified, it hits much harder than the player held version, I don't use the autocannon against bugs unless its a search and destroy since you can clear entire hives in seconds with it and unlike the grenade launcher it comes with extra ammo. Against bots the AC is goated.

I prefer the new laser cannon for bugs, you can get a shot off and clear out mobs while its cooling down and you're kiting. 1 shot every 10 seconds is better than 2 shots every 70 (or 3 if you can reliably kill chargers with the pod).

A bonus if you're defending an area later in the game you can call a 2nd laser cannon down and hot swap them to kill titans even quicker.

I think theres too many bugs that need fixing rn and stratagems that are broken to have a random assortment. Maybe a better thing would be that each player can only take a stratagem once per operation, if you used airstrikes on the search and destroy you just cleared you can't use them on the ICBM lauunch (logistical restocking lore BS reason why), that way you'd have to balance your loadout as a team so you're not getting rolled over in the final mission

The quasar is great easily one of the strongest picks. But I've definitely seen a ton of people whiff it because of the charge time and get bowled over by chargers when shit gets really hairy.

Your suggestion would be cool, I'd welcome something like that. And yeah they definitely need to do some work all around on everything.

On a related note, took the airburst launcher on to a bug mission just now. Pains me so much that it's broken. When it works it works incredibly, there's nothing like running towards an objective or hive or whatever down a hill when it's in a big wide open area and just lobbing airburst after airburst down and clearing out huge waves at once. But the fact that random boxes, rocks, dropped items etc. set it off and blow it up right in your face is just so unbelievably fucked. Died a few times shooting it up at a 45 degree angle over flat ground with nothing in front of me and it just detonated right in my face. Soon as they fix it or add some kind of delayed detonation I think it's going to be an always take for me on bug missions.

Yeah the airburst is fucked, I'd prefer it if they gave it a dual trigger, first pull launches second detonates it. If you're dumb with it you can still fuck yourself up which is what I'm sure the devs want but its also less likely to explode near random terrain or desynced items/corpses, especially since it seems like it'd work best as a backpack reload spam on groups before they can spread out, but bunching up to do that is going to waste even more reinforcements when it fucks up.
