>Can somebody photoshop X? Can somebody make me a logo? All requests for photoshopping belong on /wsr/ - Worksafe Requests or /r/ - Adult Requests. /gd/ doesn't take requests or do free or even paid work sometimes. However, if you're new at something, asking "HOW can I X?" rather than "CAN YOU make X?" will give you better results.>Can I post some of my work for critique? There is usally a critique/What-Are-You-Working-On thread, and that is where work for critique go.>Can somebody find [font]?http://www.mediafire.com/download/027xjs3ujvyqxmd/Fonts.zipalso check out your local torrent site or the font-share thread.Remember to share and not just take. Can I talk about video editing here? I really want to talk about it but I don't know what board really suits it, people at /tv/ just aren't interested at allNowadays, the only thing Premiere has over Davinci right now is the AI shit and communication with After, which is very useful, but Davinci is so good, is Premiere only so hegemonic because it's adobe?
>>450885what "AI shit"
>>453665>fcpx>can't even cut videos correctly>15000gb cache for a 10min 4K video>motion effects on par with 2010 after effects>"want an effect ? just buy a template bro"fcpx is okay if pirated and used for quick editing (vlogs, tiktok shit, ect)
>>450885Resolve is horrible.... anyone who thinks otherwise literally has no idea what they are talking about. Resolve MIGHT be used to do color correction by some professionals, but that should and is likely to change soon because Resolve has countless problems. I did what most people did where I couldn't stand using Premiere at one point because of Adobe's bullshit, so I tried to switch to Resolve, I went RUNNING back to Premiere. Anyone claiming they switched over is not editing anything substantial. Here's a short list of things Resolve sucks at:1. the display is all fuzzy; it's meant for color correction but the program can't even display the video in the quality that any other video player can; this is because it can't scale down without making the image go to shit.2. Text made in program will look like shit, when I used it I couldn't make titles without them having colored fringe around the edges... so you'll need to make 100% of your titles in another program.3. I figured that because Resolve is at the very least used for high end color correction it could be used to do green screen composites... well it actually can't. Even the keying in Premiere which is also pretty shitty is about 1,000 times better than what Resolves exported composite look like, they are 100% unusable with Resolve. Even when it comes to color grading Resolve almost under no setting will actually export what you see in the timeline... and not only will the gamma shift in various browsers or video players, it won't even look the same when reimported into FUCKING Resolve! Source: I'm a professional editor and could go on and on and on and on; Fuck Resolve and fuck Resolvetards
>>450885I use sony vegas pro. All my motion graphics are done in After Effects, then i export and compile the full length film in sony vegas.
>>453907>NOOOOOOO YOU HAVE TO USE ADOBE SHITWEAR THAT HASN'T BEEN UPDATED SINCE 2010 >I'M A PROFESSIONAL BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE CHROMA KEY ITS THE SOFTWARES FAULT AAAAAAAAAAAFusion is a 1000x better at compositing, AE is 20% better than Fusion at doing motion graphics.Learning Resolve + Fusion is the better time investment unless you want to be an Adobe slave forever. Resolve and Fusion are bound to surpass AE and Pr in every way (already the case for Pr, literally abandonware at this point)source: I actually use my brain

Does anyone have the Berkeley Mono (https://berkeleygraphics.com/typefaces/berkeley-mono/) full please? One was shared years ago on files.catbox.moe but the link has since expired.
>>449641this is so kind, thank you
>>454176https://files.catbox.moe/55jvt8.zipI downloaded this one from somewhere a month or two back, it had a broken grave (u0060 `, would overlap onto characters typed in certain places like Windows Terminal and vscode), so I went into fontforge and edited the character (Element>Glyph Info>OT Glyph Class> Mark --> Base Glyph).this is v1.008, not the newest v1.009 (couldn't find it anywhere)
Hey /gd/, anyone knows what typeface/font this is?Thanks
Does anyone here happen to know how to make custom font from scratch? Do I need some highly specific software or can this be achieved with Affinity Designer, for example?

>>454517alegria is one (of many) names for the widely used illustration style that you associate with tech companies.you can find the wiki article under its more widely known name 'memphis':https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_Memphispeople here have a tradition of equating this style with political believes they themselves do not identify with, which keeps them stuck in a perpetual cycle of unintelligently ranting against it.it is the careworn midwit version of a political statement, "disguised" as an artistic/cultural criticism (...or sth. I am not even sure what it is supposed to be). sure, you *could* have interesting conversations about artistic characteristics of that style or the anthropological context it is coming from. but from experience this forum is not the right place to do so in a productive/insightful manner
How would you describe these PicMix gif designs?
>>454499as cringe and funny as they are they have soul. since the people making them are trying to express a feeling. Even if it is tacky, its genuine.
>>454501I actually agree with thisI was gonna laugh at the pic but imagining it through the lens of someone coping with the loss of their dog tugged at my heart
>>454501>>454503yeah, i get the vibe there are some genuine expressions going on being delivered in a tacky way.
>>454511>genuine expressions going on being delivered in a tacky wayI feel like genuine expression is the biggest thing lacking in art at the momenteveryone just wants to make a statement or signal this or that with no real desire to get THEIR emotions across, but the emotions of whatever they've ascribed themselves to projecting
Hey everyone! I'm new here and i don't really know how this all works but i made my website some time ago now and didn't get much feedback from it, about the design etc...I'm very curious what y'all think about it, what i should change/improve/get rid of/etc...Design-wise but also on the overall, comments on anything is welcome! :) It's a very basic portfolio showing some of my work, still a junior so i don't have much to put in there but i'm working on sub projects to add. Here's the link:https://romain-gerard.com/and thanks in advance :)
looks fine but the images you are using in your projects are low quality.you can get good quality pictures from unsplash.com
>>454408sort projects from newest to oldestdecrease border radius on thingsmake dropshadow on elements more subtle, not black, more like grayish/bluish and blurred a littlenot understanding "new presences" element, might be good to make it more obvious what is it/changing it"3 words to describe myself" sounds like something out of hr talk, I would be seriously considering yeeting this out"Some other competences i like to touch" also kinda sounds strange, it kinda implies that you everyday work with JS, but only occasionally with CSS and HTML Besides that, overaly pretty good portfolio, seems that you're doing things and learning more. Keep it up. As a personal advice, if you wanna learn something, try to learn react/angular and some backend framework like Nest.js or other alikes. Work with node, also learn opsing a little, it's very helpful.
>>454408Rien à redire sur le design mais retravaille le texte au plus vite. Littéralement la première phrase que l'on est amené à lire n'a aucun sens, on dirait que c'est de la traduction auto :> J'ai un vrai plaisir à donner un coup de jeune à l'image de marque des entreprises qui veulent se démarquer en ligne.
Yep, this is real.I dare you to find something worse.
Then you should know that at the current year of 2023 graphic design is pretty much dead. I was a professional gd for almost 10 years working in both studios and on my own and I can't really find a job anymore. It's not even because of AI to be honest, its because of how the industry works and how bad the corporate environment has become. There's still web design, 3D and VFX/motion design(primarily 3D too) and if you want something similar or easy to transition then chose one of those but I'm not sure for how long they will be relevant themselves because of the AI which is basically a final nail in the coffin of gd. Of course there are and will be exceptions and maybe you will get lucky to find some obscure local business that needs you, but if you are young and looking for a career in the future you should stop consider becoming a graphic designer. This profession is dead.
>>445757The goal is to have a place I can point clients to when they ask "Do you use AI in your work?".It's a polarizing, nuanced topic - so I wanted to share deeper context and examples of how AI-generated assets can be part of brand identity. For me, AI speeds up the execution phase, unlocking more time for exploration and creating new modes of visual expression that would often be cost-prohibitive for early-stage companies.
>>454445Jesus, are we really going to have AI "designers".
>>454445Makes sense. Whenever I made a logo, I'd want to spend 90% of the time in strategy, instead of execution, but it was very difficult to get people to pay for it. "We just want something simple" well yeah, I can recreate any logo in about 5 minutes but probably a good idea to research if it's a new idea or if there are better ways of doing it rather than going with one of the first 5 iterations.
