Years ago, when cosplay started getting popular, but also sexual, I remember being a big fan of a certain cosplayer. They turned out to be quite rude to their fans, and I was left being disappointed by it. Later as the years went by, I came upon information that her cosplay hype died down, her twitch and vtuber arc couldn't lift off the ground, and she lost her twitter verification, and just isn't popular anymore. Basically what I'm trying to say in this thread is; fuck that whore. But also how has the cosplay community/scene been? Has it gotten more slutty? Worse? Better? Are people chill, or rude? What would be the best material to make a suit of power armor? Small pieces of 3d print, foam? Should I design it in the early fallout slimmer style or the later fallout mech style?
RIP help gen thread.if it isnt just for a photoshoot, I would pick whatever design is easiest to move in. try to plan pieces out according to your height and shape so it looks proportional, I assume youre not doing stilts and shit to get it tv-series sized. if you dont know what youre doing then maybe a cardboard so-bad-it's-good version would get a good reception. If youre being serious I would 3d print the helmet and use a combination of foam and worbla for the rest.
3D printing if you want the easy route but most people just use foam. All the power armour suits are popular enough to have patterns or files somewhere you can download (or purchase).
